Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to when you use the rx7db website or MCP service.

Agreement and beta access

By accessing rx7db or using its tools, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

rx7db is an invitation-only private beta. Your invitation gives you limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the service for its intended purpose. We may change eligibility requirements, limit access, suspend the beta, or withdraw an invitation at any time while we operate and evaluate the service.

Acceptable use

You may use rx7db only as allowed by applicable law and these terms. You must not:

• use the service to harm people, vehicles, systems, or property, or to facilitate unlawful activity;
• attempt to bypass access controls, probe the service, interfere with its operation, or access another person’s session or data;
• reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, redistribute, or build a competing service from rx7db content or outputs, except where applicable law permits it;
• submit malware, credentials that are not yours, or personal information you are not authorized to provide; or
• use rx7db in a way that violates the terms of your MCP client, AI provider, or other connected service.

API keys and costs

You must configure and protect your own Anthropic API key. For beta enrollment, you provide only its locally generated SHA-256 digest, never the full key. You are responsible for all API usage, charges, spend limits, and permissions associated with that key. Anthropic, not rx7db, bills the API usage generated by your key. rx7db may change its own access model or pricing in the future, but will communicate material changes before charging for access.

Your content, service content, and safety

You retain rights in the questions and vehicle information you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to process that content to operate, secure, support, and improve rx7db as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit content that you do not have the right to provide.

rx7db offers research and planning help, not professional automotive, engineering, or safety advice. AI-generated answers may be incomplete or incorrect. Check critical information against the right service documentation and your vehicle. Get qualified help where appropriate. You are responsible for the decisions you make and any work you carry out using the service.

Except for third-party names and materials acknowledged in the Copyrights section below, rx7db's original software, documentation, design, and other service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, we reserve all rights in those original materials.

Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The private beta is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, rx7db disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, rx7db and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, vehicles, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

rx7db provides general information only. You are solely responsible for deciding how to use an answer and for any work performed on a vehicle. We do not guarantee that a suggested modification complies with the laws, emissions rules, inspection requirements, or safety standards that apply where you live. Check your applicable local laws before modifying any vehicle.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. New terms apply when we post them here. If you do not agree to an update, stop using rx7db. Where appropriate, we may also notify private-beta users through their invitation or beta communication channel.

Copyrights

Mazda, RX-7, associated model names, logos, and other Mazda marks are trademarks of Mazda Motor Corporation or its affiliates. Copyrights in Mazda service publications, diagrams, images, text, and other Mazda materials belong to Mazda Motor Corporation or the applicable rights holder.

rx7db discovers and uses material that is publicly available on the internet. Answers may cite, quote, summarize, or otherwise draw from third-party publications, websites, diagrams, images, and other sources. Public availability does not transfer copyright or ownership. rx7db does not claim ownership of third-party materials, which remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Product names, company names, logos, and other marks, belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the subjects covered by the service. rx7db is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by any vehicle manufacturer, publisher, website, or other third-party source it references.
